Last Comic Standing
Author: kris, Category: Comedy, Events
I found another thing you can do on Friday night: go be funny. NBC’s Last Comic Standing is hosting their San Francisco audition on Friday, February 29, at Cobb’s Comedy Club. Do you think you have what it takes to make the judges laugh?
…Okay, I’ve never actually seen Last Comic Standing, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s all about.
You can make your cousin Stewart laugh…you can make French people laugh…but can you make French Stewart laugh? Well, can you?

Blah Blah Blah
Author: kris, Category: Comedy
Mark your calendars, comedy fans, for Kevin O’Shea is soon to host another episode of Blah Blah Blah.
This is a live comedy talk show. What IS a live comedy talk show, you ask? Aaaand…that is when I admit I haven’t been to one. Yet. My vision is of four comics, including the unsurpassable Sean Keane, sitting at a table on stage and being improvisationally funny at each other. For the record, that is Sean’s specialty. I have never known anyone so quick on his feet as Sean is.
The show takes place February 2 at 10:00 pm in the Dark Room Theater. Tickets are $7, rating is three thumbs up, Groundhog Day is an underrated gem of a film. And that’s my story.

Baby Faces of Comedy
Author: kris, Category: Comedy, Events
Don’t miss tonight’s Baby Faces of Comedy Tour at 12 Galaxies (which I need to write a post about later, remind me).
What is Baby Faces of Comedy? In the words of my favorite baby-faced comedian, Sean Keane, “For a long time…[founder] Joe Gorman would tell anyone who would listen about his brilliant plan for a comedy showcase: a lineup made up of only comics with youthful, child-like features. Spike Lee made The Original Kings of Comedy. Patton Oswalt has The Comedians of Comedy. This would follow in their footsteps as the Baby Faces of Comedy Tour.”
The show is happening tonight at 9 pm. For a mere $8, you can enjoy the comedic stylings of six rosy-cheeked, childlike stand-up artists. And for an extra $2, Sean Keane will perform his entire routine sucking on a pacifier and fake-crying.*
