It's actually called caffe luna piena, there is a different rest. called Luna on Sacramento St.
This place on Castro has not been closed nearly as long as you mentioned, it was only down for about a month or two at the most. It was a great place to eat for years, then sold about 2 - 3 years ago and the then new owner really screwed the place up. Service, and quality plunged, menu changed and locals noticed and business dried up. They went from a once thriving resto with folks lining up outside on the weekends, to always vacant tables.
Glad to hear it is in new hands, hopefully they have restored the old menu and quality ingredients.
I will check it out again as the rear patio was always a nice place for brunch.
